Check out the wine bar below, ticking off just about every viticulture nation. Here punters can pull up a pew and sip their way through fine vintages and the best wines of Marques de Riscal. Elsewhere, you can tuck into haute cuisine in the Michelin-starred eponymous restaurant. It’s very ‘cheffy’ and goes all out with tasting menus taking you from ‘fresh grass’ and salt-baked beetroot with earth and cuttlefish tagliatelle, to chocolate and pepper.

Rooms are stripped back with a neutral palette – in complete contrast to the façade that’s punching well above its weight. Don’t miss a retox sundown session on the hotel’s rooftop terrace whilst mingling with the modish set – the views, and the potent cocktails, are top-notch.
